This is what visitors can expect in the “temporary city”. “We're going to make the corner here a bit fluffy for a weekend,” says Bernd Dicks, one of the three founders of “Parookaville.” The word electrifies 80,000 young people. From arrival Thursday, July 14, to departure Sunday, July 17, they populate the “temporary city” near Weeze, partying off to electronic dance music (EDM). “Three boys from the village wanted to throw a great party,” Bernd Dicks describes how it all began. It won him and his friends Norbert Bergers and Georg van Wickeren three awards as the best festival at the premiere last year.
