For centuries, men told and interpreted history, wrote HISTORY, were the measure and norm for science, jurisprudence and engineering. “HerStory” thinks: It is time to finally paint the whole picture. Not just out of principle, out of a desire for equal treatment, but because, in extreme cases, it can even be fatal if half of humanity remains in a blind spot. Because medicine and research still set men as the standard - weighing 70 to 80 kilograms, 1.80 meters tall - women die even though their deaths could have been prevented. Accident studies show that they die in cars that have been tested exclusively on male dummies. They die because relatives and doctors believe that a heart attack looks like what Hollywood taught. These images shape us.
