We are in a secluded country house. There is plenty of exercise around it, a lush green meadow and a winter garden from which you can see the forest. Hendrik and Viktor retire here to make music. They're young, wealthy, and talented. But a visit from an old friend threatens to disrupt the togetherness. “The Lovers” is a story about sincere friendship in times of alienation and the fear of growing up.
